Trip Summary:
This itinerary takes you to the protected wildlife areas of Tanzania’s southern safari circuit which offer quite different safari experiences from those in the north. This is a wild, remote place with fewer visitors and different landscapes and wildlife.
Visit:
Dar es Salaam, Mikumi National Park, Ruaha National Park, Selous Game Reserve.

Day 1
Arrive Dar es Salaam where our friendly Warrior Trails representative will greet you at Dar es Salaam International Airport and transfer you for overnight accommodations at the Peacock Hotel.
Day 2
following breakfast, travel to Mikumi National Park with game viewing on the way and arriving in time for lunch at Vuma Hill Tented Camp. The afternoon will be at your leisure. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Camp.
Days 3, 4
Breakfast at camp will be followed by morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Camp.
Day 5
after an early morning breakfast, drive to Udzungwa Mountains for a wonderful walk in the park. Lunch in the bush will precede an afternoon exploring the rest of the park. Return to Mikumi before sunset. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hills Tented Camp.
Day 6
Travel by shared charter flight out of Mikumi National Park to Ruaha National Park, arriving in the afternoon. A short evening game drive will be followed by dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.
Days 7, 8, 9, 10
These days will be filled with game drives and walks to places such as the stone age ruins at Isimila. All meals and overnights at Ruaha River Lodge.
Day 11
After checking out of Ruaha River Lodge, transfer to the airstrip with packed lunches for a shared charter to the Selous Game Reserve. Late afternoon and evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Lodge.
Days 12, 13, 14
your days in the Selous Game Reserve will be spent on game drives, walks and boat excursions. Enjoy a night of fly camping. Picnic lunches will be in the bush, or enjoy hot lunches at the camp. Dinner and overnights at Rufiji River Lodge.
Day 15
Share a chartered flight back to Dar es Salaam where you will be met and transferred to the Peacock Hotel for an afternoon of leisure. Dinner and overnight at the Peacock Hotel
