The 14 Days Tour to Northern Tanzanian 

and Zanzibar will enable you to meet wild animal, local people, learn their culture, language, local women projects, take photos and video, and dance the local dance and other traditional practices. It is well worth visiting these destinations alongside your safari, to get a real feel for both the cultural and natural heritage of this fascinating part of Tanzania and Zanzibar.

Day 1:

Arrival in Arusha at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and you are welcomed by our representative who will usher you into a waiting vehicle and transfer you to the Mountain village hotel in Arusha. Our representative will have a short safari briefing session with you at the lodge and leave you to relax and have dinner.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at the Hotel you leave and proceed to the Tarangire National park. This is the third largest park in Tanzania and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. The Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire and the Tarangire River that flows all year round is the life blood of the park. Many animals; predators and the preys alike gather around the river where you can do excellent game viewing. Overnight at Sun bright campsite.

Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Eyasi

After breakfast and collecting our packed lunches we will drive to the shores of Lake Eyasi where you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’. The wa’Hadzabe are one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in East Africa and live fascinating and impressive lives in the bush, not requiring any huts or physical infrastructure, living a subsistence lifestyle that relies on their skills in hunting and foraging.

Our Hadzabe friends will be very pleased to teach you to shoot their traditional weapons which they make from materials which occur naturally in their immediate environment. In the evening you will share dinner with the tribesmen and as the day draws to a close will have the rare privilege of sharing in their threatened social world, while they sing traditional songs and perform tribal dances around a bonfire. The evening is a magical one and full of atmosphere. Tonight you will stay in the campsite to be close to the Bushmen for a very early rise tomorrow morning

Day 4: Lake Eyasi to Serengeti National park

we will be woken early in the morning to go hunting with the Bushmen. This is no mere performance. The Bushmen rely on these techniques to survive and you’ll need to be very attentive and at times quiet while they demonstrate their use of locally made poisons in incapacitating the poor creatures that keep our friends alive. At around 0930 after the hunt we’ll return to our camping site to take breakfast. From here we’ll proceed with lunch boxes to Lake Eyasi where we aim to see the unrivalled spectacle of countless colorful flamingos on the lake’s shores. In the afternoon we’ll transfer to the Serengeti national park and will take dinner and spend overnight at the Seronera campsite.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

this day will be for exploring the famous Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. With more than two million wildebeest, half a million Thomson’s gazelle, and a quarter of a million zebra, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa on this day the migration has taken the animals but most animals still remain in the park except many absence wildebeest. Dinner and Overnight at Seronera campsite.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, we depart with our lunch box for Ngorongoro Crater & Highlands “eighth wonder of the world”, the Ngorongoro Crater, which is the largest unbroken caldera on earth. The Crater is a home to the rare Black Rhino and has its own Soda Lake. The highest concentration of non migrant wild animals in the Crater area means that you are likely to see the lions, elephants, Zebras, wildebeest, hippos, flamingoes, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a picnic lunch you will descend the 600m high crater walls and spend the afternoon viewing wildlife on the crater floor. Dinner and overnight at Simba campsite.

Day 7: Masai village. – Arusha

After breakfast at the lodge we’ll drive to Lengijave to visit some Maasai families. Visitors always relish this experience hugely. You’ll be invited into the hut of the senior wife who is present and have the opportunity to discuss many aspects of her life in the Maasai tribe: what it is like being one of several wives; how the men train to become warriors; some fascinating rules about hospitality and traveling, and many more things about why the world respects and values this unique tribe. We’ll have a traditional lunch with the family and afterwards enjoy a walk in their environs on which we’ll have the chance to discuss many issues that affect the tribe, projects that are underway to improve their standard of living without threatening their way of life and anything else that will interest you about traditional village life. In the evening we’ll return to Rich Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Flight to Zanzibar

After breakfast, take your own few moments preparing yourself for a flight to Zanzibar. Our driver will come at the hotel around 10:00am to offer a transfer to Kilimanjaro Air Port where you will board to your flight to Zanzibar to start your another coastal cultural tour and beach holiday in Zanzibar; our representative will meet you and transfer you to Dhow Palace Hotel or Karafuu Resort in stone town for dinner and overnight

Day 9: Zanzibar City Tour

After breakfast you will be picked up by our guide from the hotel and go for a city tour within stone town. Experience the city & the true culture of Zanzibar, Visit the famous House of wonder, the sultan Palace, the old museum and the old market where you can shop for various fruits, souvenirs and spices. You will also see the cathedral Church and the old dispensary. Walk through the the famous alleys of Zanzibar, intermingling with the local people and enjoy the aroma of coffee and spices around you. You can also visit the numerous shops that are available in stone town.

Day 10: Zanzibar Spice Tour

Depart from the hotel and drive through the countryside of Zanzibar, to the plantations, where you can sample the various spices i.e. ginger, Cadamon, Lemon Grass and cinnamon etc that are grown and which are the No 1 export products of Zanzibar. And of course the reason Zanzibar is originally famous and known as The Spice Island. You also sample the fruits that are in abundance at the farms, some very exotic and very tasty. After that we invite you for lunch at the spice tour restaurant where you will have lunch and taste the spices as they are used in food preparation.

Day 11: ZANZIBAR BEACH LEISURE

Today it’s your first day to enjoy your relax day in the white sandy beach of Zanzibar and sunshine at your luxurious Zanzibar beach resort Blue bay Beach Resort or Karafuu Beach Resort Meal plan: Breakfast, Dinner.

Day 12: ZANZIBAR BEACH LEISURE

Another day of leisure to enjoy the white sandy beach of Zanzibar at your luxurious Zanzibar beach resort, or optional excursion for Scuba diving, Snorkeling, Deep sea fishing which can be arrange by representative of Africa Joy Tours  or direct from your hotel, Bluebay Beach Resort or Ocean Paradice Beach Resort- 5 Star. Meal plan: Breakfast, Dinner.
