Arrive at Arusha and in the afternoon and drive to a Hotel at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro at about 6, 000ft. You will be given time to familiarize yourself with the equipment and climbing gear, then an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we drive to the Mt. Kilimanjaro park entrance along with our guides and porters. The 3 – 4 hour climb starts here as we enter a dense tropical rainforest. Dinner and an overnight stay at the Scandinavian-type huts at 9,000ft above sea level.
A steep climb through the giant heath zone and the moorland south of Mawenzi through unusual floral life dominated by tussock grass, belia constitute breathtaking views. After a 5 – 6 hr walk we reach Homombo Hut at 14, 400 ft above sea level where we spend the night.
We hike up the valley behind Horombo to the saddle which is a mile long expanse between Kibo and Mawenzi. Kibo Peak can be seen from here. At this point you feel the altitude and temperature drop. Dinner and an overnight stay at Kibo Hut at 15820 ft above sea level.
Our final ascent, a 7 – 9 hour challenge which begins at 1:00am. Your guide will lead you to Gillmans point and Uhuru point at 19,340ft above sea level. After a spectacular welcome of the sunrise over the African continent, we descend to Horombo to spend the night.
Our descent continues to Marangu Gate and we drive to the lodge in Arusha.
With picnic lunch le leave Arusha for Tarangire in time for a game drive then Dinner and an overnight stay at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
Breakfast then an early morning game drive, lunch, and an adventurous. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and an overnight stay at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
After breakfast we leave Tarangire for a game drive/picnic lunch at Lake Manyara National Park. We then drive out the park to Gibbs farm for Dinner and an overnight stay.
Breakfast then we leave Gibbs Farm on a game drive for the Serengeti
National Park via Olduvai Gorge.
After breakfast an early morning game drives through the Serengeti National park is followed by lunch and a continuation of the game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and an overnight stay at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge.
Breakfast then we leave the Lodge with a picnic lunch en route as we head to the Ngorongoro Sopa lodge for Dinner and an overnight stay.
After Breakfast, we spend the full day touring the crater culminating in the exhilarating experience of a hot meal served on the crater floor.
We depart for Arusha for lots of shopping and arrive in time for lunch. We book in to a hotel for half a day has Dinner and you are taken to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time to catch your flight.
