Tarangire/Manyara/Serengeti /Ngorongoro &Zanzibar Island.
Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you’ll be personally met and escorted by our staff to the heart of Tanzania’s safari center where you’ll spend the night at Mc Ellys hotel. Optional activities including, shopping or visiting the Tanzanite Experience museum are available for those who arrive early. Followed by safari briefing at 7pm.
Day 2-3: Arusha/ Tarangire National Park
Leave from Arusha in the morning drive to Tarangire for afternoon game viewing in the national park, famous for its giant baobab trees, large herds of elephants, plains game and predators. Tarangire also boasts a large variety of spectacular bird life including endemic species.
On the following day, you’ll embark on a sun rise game drive ranging far and wide. Among many aspects of animal behaviour, your Guide will point out the fascinating way elephants have of communicating with subtle interactions. The two nights will be spent at Zion Campsite.
Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park
In the morning you depart for the Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge (option) to visit the interesting museum at this world-famous archaeological site containing fossils of our early two million year-old human ancestors. Continue on a game-drive through the vast Serengeti National Park to Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Full day game drives in the Serengeti, home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on earth. Non-migratory species include large prides of lions, solitary leopards, cheetah and graceful impala. The landscape is characterized by vast stretches of open plains, punctuated by kopjes, rock formations that have survived from the Pre-Cambrian period, and open woodlands. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Public Campsite.
Day 6: Serengeti/ Ngorongoro
An early breakfast, collect your picnic lunch boxes for another game drive through the central Serengeti until mid-day. After lunch leave the Serengeti to the southern part border of Ngorongoro and the famous Serengeti plains to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arrive there in late afternoon for sunset views. Overnight at Rhino lodge.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
An early morning breakfast, then descend into the crater floor (2000 feet) and drive through the lerai forest with its yellow-barked acacias, searching for giant-tusked elephant, rare black rhino and black-manned lion. Likely you may see the ”big five” – Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard. Late afternoon ascend the crater wall to Lake Manyara escarpment for overnight stay.
Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park/ Arusha
After breakfast, enter to the Lake Manyara National Park, passing through the cool shade of the groundwater forest before reaching the lakeshore. The Park is best known for its tree climbing lions, but you are more likely to an encounter elephants, buffalo, primates and astounding bird life. After a picnic lunch you continue game-viewing until the late afternoon drive to Arusha for overnight stay at Mc Ellys hotel.
