Landlocked by China and India, Nepal is home to a wide variety of cultural and geographical influence. Along with the world’s highest mountains, this small country is also host to rich tropical jungles and flat, open countryside. You will find some of the most beautiful Buddhist and Hindu temples in the midst of many other religious views, including Christianity and Islam.
Unfortunately, despite the beauty and diversity that surrounds the people of Nepal, many will never know to fully appreciate it. With nearly half of its population of 30 million living below the international poverty line, merely finding a way to survive is a harsh reality. The average income for many equates to about $1.25 USD per day.
The Global Adventures Safaris is a nonprofit organization that works closely with other local nonprofits and NGO’s in Nepal, to help to promote and create a healthy community, which is economically and socially stable.
The goal is to provide ideas, funds, and volunteers in an effort to alleviate or eliminate the causes and effects of poverty. None of this can be accomplished without the support of volunteers and donations. Assistance is always needed and well appreciated in many areas, including the following:
Teaching English, math and computers in Schools
General Assistance in Orphanages
Medical Assistance and Internships
Support in a Women’s Center
Local Media Internships
Community Outreach
