Walking safaris.

Walking safaris are an exciting alternative to explore the unique and wonderful world of Africa. Whether you are tracking lions in the famous Ngorongoro experiencing the real Africa in the Tanzania bush or challenging yourself by hiking up Kilimanjaro, you can be sure to get you share of wildlife, adventure and breathtaking scenery…

Global Safaris African Safaris has an option for everyone in every location. If you are interested in a hike around Cape Town, discovering the world-famous Okavango Delta or joining Gorilla Trekking in Uganda, have a look at the tours that we are offering below and contact us if you require any further information.
We run many different kinds of walking safaris in Southern and East Africa.

You can do a walking safari for the more experienced hiker – where you hike 6 to 8 hours a day – or come on one of our wildlife walking safaris where you’ll generally only go on a moderate walk for about an hour or so in the morning and afternoon or, come on one of our mobile camping safaris where we have short walks during the day to visit points of interest like the bushman rock paintings. Our walking safaris range from 1 day trips to as long as 20 day trips.

Walking safaris offer excellent photographic opportunities and a great alternative if you want to see more of Africa and spend less time in vehicles with more time out in nature. All Walking Safaris are led by qualified guides who have had intensive specialized training in field guiding.

Scheduled and Tailor-Made Walking Safaris:
Africa offers excellent opportunities to go on various different styles of walking safaris. Below you will find numerous small group walking safaris that Global Safaris runs throughout Southern and East Africa. You can join one of our scheduled walking safaris or if you’d like, one of our experienced travel consultants can tailor-make a private walking safari to meet your departure date, time period, group size and budget.

One of our most popular walking safaris is in the Kruger National Park and in Ngorongoro crater where you stay in a private tented camp and walk out into the bush with a qualified guide every morning and afternoon to get close up to the Big Five.
